Young People at HMP/YOI ISIS Support the Local Community in the months following the festive season, we ran a clothing collection program which supported the Young People within the secure estate and the ‘Ellenor’ local children’s hospice at home charity. www.ellenor.org The young people were able to give items of clothing which were still good quality, but that they didn’t need, enabling space on their ‘property card’, allowing them to receive a few new items of clothes from loved ones at Christmas time, whether celebrated or not. In turn we were able to give these clothes to a local children’s charity, who were, at the time, ‘desperate for men’s shoes’, and we gave in 12 pairs which was more than appreciated, particularly the Jordan 4’s which will make someone’s day.
