At Maidstone we have come to the end of the first year for the Community Council, and what a successful year it has been. In the SLT meeting we have just facilitated, the new acting Governor Ian Davis, complimented the council by saying, “In all of my years working within multiple prisons across the country, I have witnessed councils and seen how they function, this is without a doubt the best, most professionally run council I have ever been a part of, so well done to Kinetic and all of the council members.” We are currently in the process of re-recruiting for all wing councils, in order to give others the opportunity to participate and be a part of the positive change within HMP Maidstone.
