22 young people from HMYOI Cookham Wood have spent the last several months learning how to knit to make baby hats for the Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital.
On Tuesday 7th February, Anna (Left – Senior Youth Work Coordinator) and Lisa (Right – Specialist Youith Work Supervisor) from Kinetic’s project at HMYOI Cookham Wood were able to hand deliver 17 baby hats to the unit which also included a tour of the Neonatal Unit .
It was really lovely to see how the hats are used within the unit and see the impact these young people have had on their local community. well done to the young people of HMYOI Cookham Wood!
