In September at HMP Maidstone we have reset one of our wing councils due to a number of members being released and moved to other houses. However this has given us the opportunity to provide application forms to all prisoners who were interested in the council member role, which was followed up by a formal interview.

These interviews were run by Kinetic, however, I was joined in these interviews by the chairs and secretaries of the other wing councils, and so they all experienced how to implement a new wing member officially. This was such a successful process, that the Weald wing council chair has asked me to repeat the process for Weald wing also.
